'A Planned End of Life Arrangement'  APEOLA                        DRAFT                      April 16th 2020

Planning and implementing a dignified conclusion to a person's life is a choice and fundamental right of that individual.
Preparing for the end of life has to be well planned and should allow a minimum time for reconsideration.
'A Planned End of Life Arrangement'  APEOLA consists of three stages.
Initially a person motivated to use APEOLA, would document the circumstances and conditions which would initiate the process.  Possible examples below:
1.Failure to recognize close family and or spouse
2.Living with extreme pain
3.Be compelled to live in a total care facility
4.Inclusive bowel or urinary incontinence
5.Becoming completely dependent
6.Loss of physical and sensory function, vision, hearing etc.
7.Become violent or aggressive
8.Heavily medicated to the point of non-comprehension
9.Other criteria  ..............................................................
Next detailed records of wishes and requirements including Will, Power of Attorney, Estate Plan and final arrangements would be completed.
The third stage is overseen, and if necessary administered by an APEOLA clinician or practitioner.

Updated again June 15th 2019 ... Mydicide ... or May 22nd 2017   Icandicide are alternative new words to describe the process and action of an individual to determine a planned and dignified end to their life.

Is it possible to turn the legal and ethical responsibility to state that:  'causing a person mental and/or physical pain and suffering, directly against their wishes and direction' is a crime. It should be a criminal offence to withhold the rights of an individual to determine the time, place and conditions of a pre-planned, dignified and painless end to life.
It is a crime to deliberately or though negligence, cause pain or suffering to an animal. A person that has the prospects of extended pain, loss of ability and dignity has the added mental anguish of not knowing how long this will last, should have the legal right to determine the final accomplishment.

Dignicide,  Dignicist and An End of Life Directive

The YouTube Video below offers some new words and terminology for ending life
with peace and dignity.

As a result of the advancements in medical technology we have the capacity to extend life beyond a normal, natural lifetime. These advancements have placed many individuals into a position where a natural and timely death is no longer possible.
At present we have many terms with numerous complicated definitions to describe this process. New, clear and understandable words and definitions should be used to describe the planned conclusion of a person’s life. To avoid misinterpretation and confusion we suggest that the following words:
Dignicide is a preplanned, dignified, and painless death
A Dignicist is the practitioner trained and qualified to attend to an individual's end of life
An End of Life Directive is a legal document, which clearly defines the end of life procedure.
